How we work

We are a voluntary team of 14 tutors, 1 coordinator, 1 librarian and 1 child psychologist.

We welcome the children on Saturday mornings in the Centres of Derqui and Villa Zaboya and on Wednesday afternoons in Villa Itati, Mathey.

We aim to strengthen the linguistic, reading comprehension and critical thinking skills rather than specific contents. We consider that these basic skills help students better assimilate different school subjects and are helpful for them all through their school, professional and family life.

The program consists of the following characteristics:

1. We provide school and preschool support.
2. The group of students is stable.
3. The students are split into levels according to the educational needs they present.
4. The group of tutors is stable.
5. We offer one on one attention (one tutor every six children).
6. We teach through games.
