Two years ago she was a housewife. Today, when her husband is without work, she  supports the family.

Josefina Liendro is 41 years old, married and has three children. In May 2006 she approached Fundación Progresar because she was starting a small vegetable shop. With the credits she received she was able to enlarge it, increasing the quantity of her stock and the variety of her products. Additionally, she has purchased two freezers to sell ice creams and cold products.

With these investments, Josefina’s monthly income increased from Arg$700 to Arg$1300, covering all her family expenses and managing to make new investments in her shop. This way, when her husband is out of work, she becomes the main breadwinner.
Having achieved stability in her work Josefina has been able to dedicate some of her time to other pending issues like finishing school. With the guidance of her credit advisor she has also learned how to follow her shop’s bookkeeping and she currently makes monthly balance sheets which she uses to take informed decisions on how to continue growing.
