The Loans To grow program brings an integral approach to development. We are not only concerned about the economic improvement of our micro-entrepreneurs but also focus on their development as people and their interaction with family and society.

Economic and housing situation: through financial aid, we seek that beneficiaries  experience a genuine improvement in their economic and housing situation, which can then translate into a better quality of life for them and their families.

Orientation and training: Through our training and consultancy, it is intended that micro-entrepreneurs incorporate new techniques and practices regarding business registration, sales strategy, customer service, quality, etc. This way, micro-entrepreneurs will be able to assure more steady flows of income, which in turn will allow them to improve their quality of life. Regarding housing, we orient them so they can invest their loans efficiently and really improve their housing conditions.

Values: Through the discussions that our advisors have with the micro-entrepreneurs, inside and outside the credit process, we seek to build social capital and confer certain values. Specifically, we try to bestow upon our micro-entrepreneurs an appreciation for the importance of punctuality and organization, as well as a strong sense of solidarity.  This not only impacts on their working activity but also on their families, children’s education and health issues.

Personal development: We also strive to inspire higher levels of self-esteem among the micro-entrepreneurs by fostering more control over their businesses with improved book-keeping and other methods. This helps them gain a more profound understanding of their enterprise, which in turn gives them a stronger sense of being a proper owner.

Formality: we also wish to advance the formalization of our micro-entrepreneurs’ enterprises, when they make sufficient income so as to pay for the cost implied. We believe that this will give them access to new and larger markets for provisions and sales.
